Recently a friend visited me and saw this painting and was engrossed with the painting and spent a lot of time looking at it. Then he came up with the interpretation that these horses remind him of the five senses, trying to break free but are bound by an invisible barrier, that controls them. There is a sanskrit saying "Ati sarvatra varjayte" meaning over indulgance is always bad. In a similar way one should control the five senses to enjoy this wonderful life.

None of my paintings has given me as much pleasure as this one. I used to dislike art that wasn't realistic but this painting has chnaged my opinion and now I know why people like contemporary and abstract art so much.
